T2 Train [MAX = Metropolitan Area Express]

Unlike the Streetcar, which is meant primarily to string together popular in-town amenities, the MAX was conceived primarily to serve more-distant locations. All the same, in its travel through the city it serves the sports arenas, including Providence Park, home of the Timbers and Thorns.

After, what seems like an infinitely-long tunnel, the MAX arrives 260 feet below grade at The Oregon Zoo and Washington Park with its many amenities, including Hoyt Arboretum, and the beginning to the Third T, the grueling 3.5 mile trail, up to, and down from, Council Crest.
